Potato
A light, fun recipe app for home cooks—meal planning, a cooking assistant, and a personal cookbook built around a familiar, friendly brand.
Overview
Potato started as a small seed with ambitions to grow into something substantial.
In spring 2025, a friend and I spent about two months working in person in Italy to build an app that delivers great recipes and, at its heart, a real cooking assistant.
We combined our skills into a solid recipe-app system—roughly 70–80% built in code, with more to ship before launch. Built without AI.
Design identity
A potato is a familiar ingredient in most cuisines—why not build a brand around it?
Reference
Recipes organised by national cuisines—a simple way to help users browse what they want to cook.

Project in progress
We're still actively building Potato. Designs will be revisited and refined as we push to make the experience even more straightforward.
